CASA of Missoula provides independent, trained advocates for the best interests of children within the judicial system who are at substantial risk or have experienced abuse or neglect. We provide consistent, long-term advocacy until every child resides in a safe, permanent home.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Outreach & Events Coordinator is responsible for advancing the mission of CASA of Missoula by carrying out volunteer recruitment and outreach goals outlined in the program’s strategic plan. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with community outreach, fundraising events, and marketing. This position also assists with directing volunteers and one intern in relation to these job duties.

Reports to: Development Manager; works in collaboration with other program staff

Responsible for community outreach and marketing, donor & volunteer communication, & small event coordination.

Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in fundraising/event assistance and/or marketing.
  • Experience in marketing design, social media marketing, event planning, volunteer/staff management.
  • Experience with Linked In and Meta social media platforms
  • Demonstrate strong skills in attention to detail, networking, collaboration, interpersonal relationships & time-management.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
  • Must complete CASA volunteer pre-service training within one year of hire.
  • Must be able to complete necessary background checks.
  • Must be able to work some weekends/evenings.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, and Bloomerang.
  • Understanding of child abuse and neglect, families in crisis, and child development.
  • Knowledge of court appointed special advocacy and other social service skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative in supporting the program’s mission and philosophy.
  • Comfortable working in diverse settings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
