April is Strengthening Families Through Child Abuse Prevention Month

April marks Child Abuse Prevention and Strengthening Families Month. Strengthening Families Month is a time for the community to come together to promote the safety and well being of Montana youth. Missoula’s future depends on the healthy development of our children, making this an important time for our community to unite to support struggling families in need of resources that will enable them to provide safety and security for their children. 

CASA of Missoula is proud to partner with the Parenting Place again for our 2024 Pinwheels for Prevention Event at the Courthouse Lawn on Monday, April 22nd from 3:30-5:30 pm.

This public event encourages everyone of all ages to come to the courthouse lawn and plant a pinwheel in a show of support for strong families and safe kids. Pinwheels represent the healthy, safe, and nurturing environment every child deserves. In addition, CASA of Missoula is thrilled to partner with the ZACC to host our Pinwheels for Prevention Art Contest this year. We are so excited to see the amazing submissions youth will share, and we will announce the prizes we have to offer and more details about how to enter on our social media pages.

Join us on Monday, April 22nd to plant a pinwheel with friends and family. This is a simple way we can all play a role in raising awareness and show our support of providing a loving and supportive environment for children in our community.
